How much are Tickets? – Tickets are great value at just $25 (+ booking fee) presale or $35 at the door. Kids 3 -17 are $10 (+ booking fee) and kids 3 and under are free. Family tickets (2 x Adults and 2 x Children) are $60(+ booking fee). This year we’ve also introduced the VIP Marquee for $155 (+ booking fee). All information on ticketing is on the ticket page.
Can I buy a Ticket at the Door? – Absolutely, however these will be limited so we recommend that you purchase well in advance to avoid certain disappointment that will come with missing out.
Where is the event? – We have located the event at Westport Park, on the beautiful foreshore of the Hastings River. Come down for the beer and cider, stay for the view.
What do I drink out of? – We could hardly make you drink of a plastic party cup. You’ll receive a free Port Macquarie Beer and Cider festival unbreakable glass on arrival. This is yours to keep. We recommend taking it straight to the poolroom.
How do I stop my glass from getting all manky? – There will be a rinsing station for you to keep your glass fresh throughout the day. Free drinking water will be available at the station, for when you need a break from the delicious beers and ciders.
Will there be live music? – Yes, there will be some some great bands throughout the day. Bring your dancing voice and singing shoes. Stay tuned for more info.
What if I forget something at home? – You will be given a wristband upon entry in exchange for your ticket. There will be two different colours, indicating under and over 18 year of age. This wristband will allow entry and exit to the festival throughout the day.
What time does the festival run? – Gates open at 1pm. Bars, food, and coffee will all commence at 1:30pm. Music will start at shortly after and will run until approximately 7:30pm. Gates will close shortly after. Games and activities will be run throughout the day.
All my regular babysitters are already going to the festival? – No problems, children are more than welcome. Kids under 3 are free and kids 3 – 17 are just $10(+ booking fee) per ticket. There is also a discounted family pass for $60(+ booking fee), including entry for 2 adults and 2 children. Please note that children must always be with a parent or legal guardian during the event. We’ve arranged some activities so they have just as much fun as the adults.
Will there be games? – Yes, we have a dedicated games area for both the big kids and children. Come and enter the “Keg Toss” or test your skill at Giant Jenga. This will be a supervised and child friendly area.
Its such a nice day, can I bring my dog/pet? – Unfortunately pets are not allowed within the festival.
It would be great if I didn’t have to drive – You’re in luck, as we have arranged a bus service to and from the festival with selected stops. You can purchase bus tickets along with ticket entry from out ticketing page.
Is there parking at the festival? – Parking is available within the Port Marina car park and surrounding streets. A better alternative is to let someone else drive and take the bus.
Can I bring my own picnic blanket and chairs? – We absolutely encourage it. Pull up a couple of chairs with friends and talk about the aroma and flavours that you are all experiencing. There will be limited tables and chairs available on site, but you’ll get to choose your neighbour if you bring some from home.
Can I bring my own alcohol? – No, it is a fully licenced event. There will be more than enough high quality samples to keep your taste buds working overtime. Due to licensing laws bags may be searched upon arrival.
Can I bring in my own food and water? – No need. Free drinking water will be available onsite and we have some amazing gourmet food stalls to satisfy your hunger.
Will there be tastings sample? – Yes, each vendor will serve 100ml sample. 100ml for a clam ($2), Cheap as chips (which will also be served).
What if I need medical attention? – There will be a First Aid Tent onsite and mobile security personnel.
RSA and Duty of Care – It is our responsibility to ensure everyone has a great day. RSA marshals will be monitoring drunkenness and levels of intoxication. You will be asked to leave if you are intoxicated. Please cooperate; they are there to help. We might just save you a headache in the morning.
How do I pay for all of the delicious things? – The currency on the day will be festival “Clams”. A clam is worth $2 and can be exchanged for drinks at each vendor. Clams can be purchased at the Ticket Kiosk. We encourage you to leave your cash at home and bring the card. There will be EFTPOS, with PayPass features, available. Clams are non-refundable. Food stalls will accept both cash and clams.
With drinking delicious beer and cider comes the inevitability of “breaking the seal”, will there be toilets? – Yes, we will have a range of fully serviced toilets on site for your comfort. We have asked that the food vendors do not serve curry.
Can I Volunteer? – We have a range of different jobs available. If you have a current RSA you can get invaluable experience behind a bar. References can be provided for inclusion on your CV. Simply firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be in touch.
I’ve lost something, what do I do? – Firstly check you haven’t given it to someone to hold and that they’re not on your head. All lost property will be handed into the Ticket Kiosk for collection
